INRERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY

Interventional Cardiology (IC) is an area of medicine within the subspecialty of cardiology that uses specialized imaging and other diagnostic techniques to evaluate blood flow and pressure in the coronary arteries and chambers of the heart, as well as technical procedures and medications to treat abnormalities that impair the function of the cardiovascular system. IC deals specifically with the catheter-based treatment of heart diseases. The field includes the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, vascular disease and acquired structural heart disease. For pediatric interventional cardiologists, congenital heart defects are the major focus of diagnosis and treatment. IC has grown in parallel with great achievements in techniques and technologies, to many innovations in its rather brief lifetime—the first balloon angioplasty was only performed in 1977.

The extraordinary coronary stentgraft system combines a highly flexible one-layer stent graft with a low-profile balloon catheter to offer an unrivalled small guiding catheter compatibility. The cobalt-chrome stent platform is covered with a micro-porous ePTFE membrane.

The BeGraft Coronary Stent Graft System is indicated for:

  • the treatment of acute coronary artery perforation and rupture

  • coronary artery aneurysm and coronary bypass-vein graft aneurysm

Less trauma, faster procedures through low profile (5FR compatibility for all sizes). Outstanding lesion access through exceptional flexibility. Cost effective through 3-years shelf life
